From Clarity to Action, Moving from the Year of the Snake to the Year of the Horse

Happy New Year!! It is with great hope and excitement that I write to you on the very first day of this new year.

2026, the Year of the Horse, builds on the clarity and reflection and letting go of 2025--the Year of the Snake. This is a year of courage and momentum, where we take the opportunity to act on what we uncovered over the last year about ourselves, about others, about the world.

What will you do? How will you find your way to aligning with what feels right in your body, in your heart and in your mind?

I'm excited to announce the creation of a new studio space I've built upstate in the little Catskills town of Elka Park, for workshops, residencies and retreats: The SnakeHawk Studio.

Just as studio's foundation was being laid, a hawk swooped down and took a snake into its mouth, an auspicious sign that is said to be a symbol of the powerful duality of consciousness and instinct, vision and wisdom and the spiritual with the earthly.

This is a year I want to continue to offer my meditative sound baths, both in Brooklyn and upstate, and to host a variety of insight-building workshops and events that help me and others align with our passions and joys.

I look forward to connecting with you soon, and taking full advantage of this powerful new year to build beautiful bridges between what might sometimes seem opposing forces.
