December Flickers with Light & Hope

There is something about a fire in the middle of winter. The heat of it, the flickering movement and the crackling and whooshing sound of it all offer cozy solace from the cold outside.

December has snuck up as it always does, filling us with the joys and stressors of "The Holidays."

We are suddenly lit up with this season and whatever it brings. Reality often differs from the Hallmark picture of things, but in any case it is ours to make of it what we want it to be.

This year, I am bound and determined to push aside the tension and impossible perfectionistic ideas December holiday time might bring and to focus instead on fostering hope, connection and community through sound and music and joyous gatherings!!

Firstly, I am hosting a free holiday concert of Musicambia this coming Monday, December 8th at my home in Park Slope. This organization, so near and dear to my heart, offers music instruction inside prisons and along with it the beautiful gift of creativity, collaboration and light in an otherwise dark environment. Thursday, Dec. 11th at 7 pm I will

On Friday, Dec. 12th at 6 pm I will do my

Lastly, I will partner with Kimberly Fondu on Sunday, Dec. 21st at 4:30 pm for a lovely Winter Solstice Circle at YogaSole Sunset Park, using breathwork, sound and journaling to reflect back and look forward with clarity! RSVP to YogaSole.com

I am offering sound baths upstate regularly at the upstate boutique hotel Piaule and offer private sessions for individuals and groups. Give the gift sound to yourself or others this holiday!!
