"The desire for symmetry, for balance, for rhythm in form as well as in sound is one of the most inveterate of human instincts."
- Edith Wharton

In the month of May we see the buds return to the trees, we see the flowers bloom. What a natural symmetry they possess, even the variegations seem purposeful and designed, a delicate balance of flow and rhythm returned after a time of barrenness.
We too take on a new role in Spring, we emerge into our new season's self. And who do we want that to be? What kind of symmetry and balance might we find for ourselves this month and next? How can we create a soothing congruence of all the parts of us -- spirit, soul and body?
We can start by practicing a deep attentiveness to the contrast between sound and silence, between movement and stillness, to the symmetry that exists in the flow between the two.
Join me for a Sacred Bloom Sound Bath May 17th at 7:00 at Tea Time Tactics in Windsor Terrace. Also, sign up for one or all of the Sacred Bloom June Symmetry Series June 7, 14 and 21 at the Floor on Atlantic at 6:45, three 45-minute sessions where we will explore how to find balance in our bodies and minds through a deep attentiveness to sound and movement. Go to https://www.sacredbloomtribe.com/events for more information and to RSVP!
With a mindful eye toward what we take in with our ears, what actions we take with each of our limbs, we can learn to create the harmony we seek in our lives, find a flow that feels natural and easy to us.
As always, please reach out to request individual or group Sacred Bloom sound sessions! Enjoy the season, hope to share some of it with you.
