The Sound of Harmony this Thursday

Friends, 

During difficult times, it is hard to imagine that nature continues on its course, that leaves turn all kinds of beautiful colors and fall, that mums and marigolds bloom amidst the gourds and pumpkins people put out to celebrate the great harvest season. And yet we too must continue on, hopefully with a greater resolve to find kindness and understanding in our heavy hearts, a commitment to finding a way to listen more deeply to the way each and every human being breathes...in and out, in and out, very much in the same way. Nature is harsh and inhospitable sometimes, and at other times majestic and joyous. Finding the underlying rhythm that connects us all, at this and at all times, is crucial. 

Let us join together in sacred sound, find a resonant rhythm to get in tune with ourselves and each other. Let us take the time out to stop, and listen, deeply and profoundly, to quiet our fast-beating hearts, to focus on the rise and fall of our chests as the breath enters and leaves our bodies. There is a season, turn, turn, turn, and a time to every purpose under heaven. 

Let us join together in peaceful meditation, and pray that we might all be willing to listen and hear the sounds of harmony.
